Stranger in the train
On my way back upstate, I came upon a stranger in the train. He was irritated and frustrated. He came from a different walk than I, but we felt the same emotions. It was comforting to feel normal and to feel as another human feels. Though we were so different, we were also really alike. We were trying to break apart from a part of us that was really not there anymore; a broke relationship. We talked for a good 15 minutes before we parted ways. It was probably the most comforting 15 minutes I had felt for awhile. I did most of the advice giving, but I think, secretly, he was helping me give myself advice.
