Search for the Phu Quoc Dog

I have fallen in love with this breed that I haven't never met in person. I've been doing research online about this breed. As a Vietnamese-American, I, in the way, am a little curious about the breed as it is the only known Vietnamese breed. I asked my mom, if she knows of the breed and she tells me that a lot of people from Saigon travel to the island of Phu Quoc to adopt these amazing creatures and she tells me that they are extremely smart and loyal. My mission is to one day own one of these amazing dogs. =P

What is the difference between a hematoma and a contusion?

A contusion is a blunt force injury, which can cause a hematoma.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow's Agenda:

Hmm....

-Bring Mom to work
-Call Dean's security and health insurance
-Go renew license
-Study Pathophysiology book
-Go buy scrubs
....

That's it for now.

Allergies

Today I took Prednisone for severe allergies, asthma, and eczema. My body sucks and now its really energetic. LOL I tried to spell energetic as "energenic" because with my congestion I can't pronounce "T's" all that well.

Countdown

I started a countdown on my computer a few days ago and it reads: "MEDIC CLASS!!!" and the class starts in 06 days 18 hrs 03 mins and 34....33...32 sec

Getting ready

6:10a: I'm already up and had to take Mom to the train today because her 2006 Rav4 is not registered yet.
6:40a: I got back home before Dad and proceeded to fill the windshield wiper fluid. It took practically the whole gallon. I did not realize my little 2004 Nissan Sentra held that much windshield wiper fluid. Dad drives in as I am filling the car.

I have decided for today to be clean up day. I just gave Kody, my dog, a shower and afterwards I pulled the shower curtains to be washed and applied that powdered bleach stuff into the tub. Waiting an hour before I scrub the thing down. The tub is filthy.

The Start of a New

Scratch that. I definitely have not been keeping up with my plan. I just completed Stony Brook University's FIRST 5-week EMT-B course and will be part of the 2009-2010 Paramedic Program at Stony Brook. I will attempt to record my experience through this blog. My recent feedback of SBU's Paramedic Program has been overwhelming.
